It's All Over

So I know that the posting ended on a very anti-climactic note, but I've been kind of busy with stuff like school and watching Heroes--season 2 is awful, by the way. Breana and I went to Rottnest Island just off the coast with all of the other Notre Dame kids in early November, but apart from that there's not much to report on besides nice days at the beach.

Now I'm heading off to New Zealand for 8 days where Breana and I will be swimming with dolphins, hiking glaciers, skydiving, kayaking around some fiords and driving all over frantically to get to each new adventure. Then we'll be hanging out in Fiji for another 4 days before coming home on Dec. 5th. It'll be really nice to be home after all of that and I'll be ready for Christmas.

I guess this is it. Thanks to any of you who actually took the time to read this and maybe if you're lucky I'll teach you how to surf or jump out of airplanes one day... Enjoy the picture! Later dudes.

Um, are you really going to jump out of an airplane? Solo or tandem? Where do you land?

To answer Jared's question. Tandem is the only legal way unless you are certified and/or getting certified. However, NZ does have the highest commercial jump altitude in the world at 15,000ft, whereas in the US its only 12,000.

Question 2: the ground.

Oh nice, thanks for the help. Right now I'm actually in Fiji, but the skydiving was totally awesome and I highly recommend it. Breana and I only went from 9,000 ft because, well, it was the cheapest. I'm pretty the higher it goes doesn't actually make it any more scary or hardcore, just a longer freefall time. Anyway, I guess I'll be off to the beach now. Later skaters.

was it scary or just fun?

A lot less scary than you'd imagine. The fact of the matter is there are two parachutes attached to you and the person going tandem with you doesn't want to die either, so they'll be sure to make them work. Mostly just a ton of fun. I'm hooked, but I don't have any money to get my fix...
